You'll hear a verse, bridge (w/ rewinding sounds), and chorus, followed by a short instrumental interlude that's much slower than I originally planned. I figured it would be a fast guitar riff kinda thing... Almost like old Aerosmith or something... Like, a glam metal or bar band type guitar break to keep the momentum going... Unfortunately, I can't play guitar that well, and I couldn't quite nail down a good riff with the samples I had. Anyway, then it all repeats a second time, and that's as far as I've gone with the song so far...

You won't hear any vocals on this sample, but if you did, this is what they'd be saying:

LYRICS

Thanks, wrapped in bacon

nailed to a tree

placed upon a pedestal

tear your bloody heart out

split divinity

looking up, you take the fall

princely pauper, play the fool

six paces in a solo duel

seven, if you count the dead

now warm the bullet in your head

i can't see

when you're in front of me

so get the fuck out the way

& move your moose

[riff I was talking about]

i can't i can't i can't i can't i can't i can't i can't i...

suck inspiration

smile & hold it in (your breath)

exhale & you've blown it all

tear your bloody heart out

don't smile at me again

w/o ground, you miss the fall

princely pauper, play the fool

six people in a swimming pool

seven, if you count the dead

now count the voices in your head

i can't see

when you're in front of me

so get the fuck out the way

& move your moose

[riff I was talking about]

i can't i can't i can't i can't i can't i can't i can't i...

[etc, etc...]

Uh, this probably makes more sense when you realize that it came partially from a really intense ergot trip/shamanic journey/vision quest I took with a friend a while back while listening to the Gyuto Monks Tibetan Tantric Choir, as well as all the time I was spending studying the origins of language and how distorted it's gotten since the universe made that first primal sound... the first wave of energy. I totally believe that all language, every word, can be traced back to one common sound before it started splitting off into a bunch of permutations of the one, true thing (whatever *that* is... I think it's probably what some philosophies might call "the name of god"). Anyway, so if you took each of the words back as far you can (back to at least their Indo-European roots), you'd find that each verse basically breaks down to one word... At least that was how I wrote it... Put 'em all together and you have a secret message... MAYBE THE ANSWER TO THE ULTIMATE QUESTION OF LIFE, THE UNIVERSE, AND EVERYTHING!! :-) And besides that, even on the more complex level, there's another, regular message which basically says "The only thing stopping you is you. Get out of your own way."
